Bluetooth Smart Tag (Black Pack-1) For Android Devices Compatible with Google Find My, Air Tracker Tag, Item Finder, Easily Track Your Wallet, Bag, Suitcase, and More (Android ONLY)I've been after one of these tagging/tracking devices for Android for a while now and this one does the job perfectly. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and also sets up the device in the Google Find app.If looking for it say in your home if attached to keys or something you can use the app to get the device to play a high pitched chime making locating it very simple. If you need to track it further away the Google Find will show the exact location on a map.It all works really well and takes mere moments to set everything up.The device is made from plastic and is pretty small, just a bit bigger than a 50p piece and a fraction thicker. The build is ok for what it is but it's also nice and lightweight. It's powered by a single CR2032 battery and depending on usage the battery should see you good for at least a year. The device can be powered off when not needed which will prolong the battery life and obviously by using the locating beep often will obviously shorten the life.It arrived in a very small box and contained an instruction booklet, a spare CR2032 battery, a keyring, a plastic opening tool for changing the battery and a silicon case to keep the tracker in.I have multiple uses in mind for this but the main one will be to put inside a suitcase when travelling but the actual list of things this is perfect for is virtually endless.I'm considering getting a second one to hide in the car as it'll be a very cheap vehicle tracker. When ordered this was priced at £16.99 but at the time of this review a double pack of these devices can be had for a mere £19.98 which in my view is an absolute bargain. Plus there are also codes for even bigger discounts.

This is the Android equivalent of the Apple Air Tag, works in a similar way but only on Android, and it is compatible with the Google ‘Find My’ app on Android 9 or higher and works with Google Maps. The product comes in a small card box. The tag is round and comes with a spare CR2032 battery, The tag has a paper tag that when you pull it out the tag beeps, so I assume that this activates the tag which already contains a battery, also with it is a silicone case and a slit ring plus a little plastic tool to prise open the case of the tag. So, everything you need to get going and to keep it going. Which is excellent to see. It is straightforward to set up. I have an Android 14 phone, so I downloaded the ‘Google Find My Device’ app from the Play Store. When I opened the app, it already had my other devices listed and when each was selected it showed me where they were on Google Maps. I added the tag to the list by pairing it with my phone and named it. I can now attach the tag to any item, and it will show me where it is on Google maps and guide me to it using the proximity tool and beeps.

It's actually not a bad location tag.Build quality is reasonable. I wouldn't say it's the best, but it's ok. I wouldn't say it's heavy duty either to be honest, but with sensible use it should last. It's easy to set up by scanning the QR code on the box and linking it to your Google Find My Device app available on pretty much any Android phone these days. The tag works by connecting to nearby Bluetooth devices that also have an internet connection. This of course means it needs compatible devices in range at some point in order to work, but in the modern landscape that's anywhere near "urban" it shouldn't be an issue. As long as it comes into range of devices with the Find My Device or Apple's Find My services. It comes with a rubber holder, a keyring, a spare battery (CR 2032, found almost anywhere) and a plastic pry-tool to help open the tag when the battery needs changing out.The rubber holder is along the same lines as the tag itself, in terms of build quality. I've seen better holders and I've seen worse. It works and is reasonably robust, but not the heaviest of duty. A decent pull on the loop might see it tear. I rarely use the holder that comes with any tag though. If it is for my bike, then a stealthy mount is better. If for a dog then a collar mount is again better. You get the idea. The speaker on the tag is loud enough to hear in an average house, as long as ambient noise isn't alarmingly loud. It's loud enough that you could hear it from another room and locate it by wandering around. In a field though, especially next to a busy road you might have to be within 10m, perhaps less to pick anything audible up. Again, I've heard worse and I've heard better. So far then it's a fairly middle-of-the-road device. However at the current price of £17 with a 25% discount voucher it's fairly middle-of-the-road price too. In that sense it's a good device and does work well enough at pinging the location back to your device. So it's sensibly priced, reasonably well built and works.

Android 'find my' style tracker moduleIn the boxYou get a small round tracker measuring 1 1/2" diameter and roughly 3/16th" thick with hanging holeA small silicone cover you can stretch on with a hanging loop incorporated. This looks to give some waterproofing but does not cover the whole of one face so would be better put on with the operating button covered for best protection (not immersible as the hanging hole in the module cannot be entirely covered and would leak).A small plastic case opener for replacing the battery. I couldnt get it to work so had to use my penknife(carefully) to prize the lid off.A spare sealed CR2032 batteryThere is a battery already installed with a paper tag to stop it discharging in storage.A small split ring type key ringAn instruction leaflet. This was easy to pair with the app which is already on my phone. It apparently can run with android 6 and above (this is in the leaflet but see below) but I cant vouch for that as my phone has a higher android version.THE BOX SUGGESTS ANDROID 9+It is possible to check if your phone can take the (free) app by attempting to download it in the play store. If it cant be used with the phone, it wont let you download it.You can set the tag to lost if it really is and others with a phone of the same OS can then discover who to contact if they find it.Might be useful for such things as mislaid luggage. or keys, with the appropriate(not included) case you can add it to a pets collar .If it is within range of an android phone , it can alert the phone to its presence. This is apparently a safe guard to avoid BEING tracked without permission.I dont know if this is all tags but to me this might alert a thief to its presence so its not going to be useful for such things as security tracking for a vehicle and I know for certain that insurers does not consider a tag such as this as suffucient security tracking for cars or motorbikes.you can have it emit a sound via the app and then track it ,close to, far away etc and see it on the map in the app.Its a little pricey though the multi packs make it more reasonable
