The design of this knife display allows for a lot of customization that standard knife stands don’t allow. Since you can orient the two sides at whatever distance apart you want and whatever left/right handle/blade orientation you want, it can hold a variety of knife or short sword sizes with the handles to the right or the left. The acrylic is good quality and perfectly clear to keep the emphasis on the pieces you’re displaying. The mounting clamps hold pretty steady but you do have to make sure the clamps are tight enough to securely hold the sides in place and watch the weight of the knives you put towards the outer end (I actually put this inside a display cabinet with the base resting on the shelf, so that wasn’t as much of a concern for me). Another thing to be aware of is the side to side stability if you’re mounting these to a wall with no lower support shelf…there’s a bit of side to side wiggle otherwise. Overall though, if you securely mount and tighten everything (and especially if you mount it with some sort of shelf support), this is a very functional and customizable way to display larger knives. Solid four stars.

I've got both the black and clear version of this stand, and they are identical, other than the look.Because wife collects knives, we've got several stands like this one.You pretty much always need to assemble them, which takes a few minutes and it's pretty easy.Because this is a wall-mounted stand, you do get the hardware to mount it. I've never had issues with the weight of our knives being too heavy for the stand, but also keep in mind that this isn't really designed for anything huge.At the time of this review, this stand is being sold for $29.89, which is expensive for a single stand. The black version is the same price, too.
