Alright, let's face it, it's price point is super cheap! Based upon that alone I was a skeptic. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality when it showed up. It was packaged super well with Styrofoam and plastic (see photo).Pros:1) Durable for the price.2) Erases quite well and is acrylic.3) Makes a nice loud clap, making it not toy, but a functional tool.4) Plenty of writing space.5) Magnets hold the wooden pieces together when you are not using it, keeping it from opening by itself.Cons (and now I am just nitpicking):1) Acorn-style nuts keep the wooden pieces attached. Upon arrival they were loose. I suggest if you are using this item all the time that you remove the acorn nuts and add a dot of thread Lock-Tight and/or replace the nuts with lock washers and hex nuts.2) The black and white on the wooden sticks could be a little more bold and vibrant and seem faded, but does not affect the use of this tool whatsoever.Note: I use this in my home studio several times a week for video production. It is a very great alternative to the expensive clap boards and so far I have gotten my money's worth. If it breaks tomorrow I'd replace it with the same things without reservation.

The slate looks okay. The wood is only smoothed on the side, not the top of the clapper. The acrylic after one day of use and the whiteboard marker that should easily be wiped stays on the board. Save money unless you are using this as a throwaway one use clapperboard.

I haven’t had the issues some people have experienced. I’m being extra careful. The screws did come a little loose. Mine might be cross threaded. Because the clapper has so much play

it's easy to use,personally, i think the product is good,because i have bought a similar product before.The result is broken after three days of use.this time ideliberately used a period of time to evaluate.Quality is good.

This is better than a mini whiteboard. Wipes clean and ready to use in a snap.
