I have a nice electric bike, and an electric trike for my wife. Electric bikes are a big target for thieves, even with bikes at home in the garage or wherever we store them, so we need some good protection. I have an anchor in the concrete floor in our garage, and this chain threads through it with the U lock on my bike, and another U lock at the other end on my wife’s trike. When we go somewhere on them, we just bring the chain and locks with us, so we still have a secure protection when we’re out and about. Better safe than sorry!

I wanted the big D1000XL lock and chain until I read how heavy they were. I decided that this was a better solution for my touring needs as it is significantly lighter and just as much of a deterrent. Excellent build quality and a good balance of security, size, weight and cost. I bought some yellow heat-shrink to cover the d-loop and it is now much more noticeable, which is excellent and improved on two fronts: 1) it's easily spotted by a crook, and 2) I can't fail to notice that it's attached (and forgetting to remove it).

Este dispositivo antirrobo para bicicletas o motos es de lo mejor que he visto en el mercado. Lo es por la calidad se sus materiales, que da seguridad y tranquilidad al usarlo y por las varias configuraciones de bloqueo que se pueden realizar con el.Mide un metro de longitud y el grosor de los eslabones de la cadena es de 14mm de acero con baño color oro. La funda es de nylon, muy resistente a rozaduras y facilita introducirla a través de los huecos sin que se enganche. El candado esta forrado con una funda de plástico, el cierre es doble y tiene protegida la cerradura con un tapón de goma, incluye un juego con tres copias de llaves.El conjunto es muy pesado para llevarlo encima pero se puede dejar anclado en la zona habitual del aparcamiento.Este accesorio seguro que nos evitara sustos o al menos se lo pondrémos muy muy difícil a los amigos de lo ajeno.En las imágenes podéis ver más detalles.
