Don't be fooled by your first impression. When I first saw it, I thought that it just looked and felt cheap, as in poorly made, and it wasn't sturdy enough to cut well.After using it though, I'll still say it's cheap, but only in the sense of it's low cost. The handle is thick enough to get a solid, comfortable grip, and it has a slight taper that makes you feel like all the force is funnelled precisely to the knife edge.The blade itself is amazing. I've cut about 300 linear feet of plexiglass with it so far, and I'm still on the first blade insert. With all the replacement blades that are included, this thing will probably be the last cutter I'll need to buy.And with a blade this thin, you've got to be careful with your angle of use. I always register one side against a straightedge that is just under the height of the blade. I'd imagine if you used something lower you'd run a greater risk of either not cutting at 90 degrees or even snapping the blade.There's also that retractable razor knife included. If you've never used one, you should try it. If you like it, there are much better options out there, with a smoother fit and finish. Since that knife was just a freebie anyway, it doesn't bother me that it's so roughly machined.All in all, it performs way better than it looks.

I thought I would get an amount of quality, but I doubt either tool will last.

I cut a piece of acrylic fairly easily. I am 73 and anything I have to do with my hands can be questionable.

i used saws, knife and other tools but when i got this i knew that the right tool makes work easier
