I have started hanging double curtain rods all over my house. Once I realized just how much electricity can be saved when blocking out the heat/cold and sun, I started replacing the single ones. I like these simple curtain rod brackets. Because of where the rod holders are, it is easy to get to the holes to drill screws in, unlike others where you have to work sideways around them. Also, I like that the two bracket holes are of even height; with this I can easily put a topper on my curtains if I want the light completely blocked out. I used these on a fairly wide spread, and they did great at holding my curtains. It is easy enough to stick another in the middle if I decide to do so. The only thing I didn't like was the screw anchors for the rods being on top and sticking up in the air. So, I flipped 'em over and have the screw pointing down and out of sight.

I got these, because my daughters room is very bright, I wanted to be able to add some blackout shades behind her white curtains. Overall, they were very easy to install and very functional!
