These are poorly described, they are actually in-line cable tension adjusters, used where road brakes and shifters are in the same lever and so the adjuster cannot be on the shifter lever.They are well made and anodized and screw ok, though you would need some tension on them already to grip the internal part becuase it only uses friction of the cable outer ferrule against them to allow it to screw. The pictured red ferrules are not included, this seem slike a bit of a mis-sell therefor. £7 (Sept '24) for 6 seems to only just be ok value, gieven they are alloy (though they feel plastic weirdly!)
