You do have to assemble this, and while it's not difficult, it did take me about 10 minutes once put together. It's sturdy and looks very nice. I'm excited to fill it up with clothes and essentials.

Yip very good quality for what it's meant to do

When it arrived I was hopeful and put it together and I had newborn clothes to hang on it but the height is not tall enough to hang anything! For a barbie dolls clothes yes but the picture is deceiving and obviously been photoshopped! Waste of my money and effort went into this.

I love this as a baby shower gift. It's well made and easy to assemble. But as for practical use for a new mom, not so much. If you were going to hang clothes from it, you could really only hang shirts, onesies, and pants-and only smaller sizes. Sleepers will be too long no matter what size. It's really cute though, and it will make a great presentation for a gift.I will say, at approximately 20" it's taller than most of these I've seen-and cuter too!
