This is a very well thought out and we’ll designed laser cut kit. Things go together with no surprises IF you read and follow the excellent instruction book.Much of what you see in my photos are additional details added by me. The figures, the snow. crows and wall Ivy. These are NOT included! Signs in the kit are laser cut and lettering burned into the wood. I tried to paint in the lines but failed so my signs were printed on paper and glued to the original wood signs. I want all to realize that a kit built right “out of the box” is not going to have the details I have added BUT it is still a worthwhile kit to build. My greatest compliment is the lighting that comes with the enhanced kit.That adds a LOT to the magic of the alley.A roof comes with the kit and I added that but bought a dragon on Amazon to perch on the roof.One suggestion I would have is to add the “glass” to the rectangular windows before gluing them to the wall. The windows are three sided (front and two sides) but the “glass” is one piece and really needs to be cut into three pieces (front and two sides) to fit properly, Folding the “glass” into thirds just didn’t work for me.Take your time as the joy and fun is in the journey not the destination.

The wood parts of this were easy but time consuming to put together. The lights were more difficult and in the end didn't work. I had my son try to connect them also and he couldn't get them to worn either.

This was so fun to build and paint. But the lights don't work. I've tried scanning the QR code it just give a person's WhatsApp contact. I message it and no response. So disappointing. So expensive to not work. Why don't the lights actually work.

Took us over an hour just open and clean the glue off everything. Otherwise it’s a good project.

I paid for the higher quality.. it was really unclear what the difference was.. this is my fourth book nook that I have assembled. Right out of the gates pieces are breaking they’re very fragile. Once they break it’s nearly impossible to glue them back together.. it’s just very intricate. I expected this quality for the $80 book nook. So don’t do what I did and pay up because this thing is not well-made. No glue no paint it doesn’t get better with the higher cost. I’m disappointed. Nothing fits this is junk I would like a refund
