Put aside the fact that the product displayed in the photo is much larger (or the birds are much smaller) than reality. The most concerning thing is that the wood used is cedar, which is toxic to your bird.

Great variety of perches, but the wood smells horrible. It's extremely potent, and have been scared to cover their cage at night for fear of it harming them. I have never had wooden perches smell like this before. I highly recommend letting them air out in the sun if possible. I would worry that if soaked, the wood would ruin where the holes are for the wingnut and screws, and they'd split open. If I had realized it, I would have put them in a container of activated charcoal for a few days first, before putting them up in their cage.The one photo shows where each perch is in their cage, and the other 2 show them enjoying them. All in all a good purchase, just be sure to take precaution about the odor of the wood before installing. At $20, the price is a bit high.

These were impressive and exactly like the photo. Each item had good solid base two washers and a wing nut to attach and accommodate any spacing of wires. These got here quicker than my cage but I am exited to get started back keeping a budgie or two.Quality stuff in my opinion and much better than a wooden dowel.Good addition to the cage to add texture and realism. I have a Budgie, and he likes all the perches but not the flat surface. I have tried the flat surface in several spots, but he just avoids it. Maybe if you have another type of small bird they would take to the flat surface. It is good to have various sizes of the perches for the birds feet. They are easy to clean with a brush and also easy to install.

I was surprised by the quality of these perches. Usually, they are made from some type of composite and not actual wood but these are. The only complaint I have is the one perch with the raised bumps. There are some sharp edges that could easily cut my birds feet and I will need to file them down with my dremel before I can put it in their cages. These are meant for small-medium sized birds, such as Sun or other types of larger conures and medium-sized birds. The perches are a bit big for cockatiels to easily grip them and not meant for budgies as they are too large.
