Bought to replace a much more expensive Salter version, this one works in exactly the same way and has the added benefit (if you need it) of counting up as well as down.The buttons are easy to use and the ringer is loud enough to be heard without being deafening.It appears to be quite sturdy and will hopefully last a good while. It comes with an AAA battery, as stated in Amazon's description - although the accompanying leaflet says it's not included.It has a switch to turn it off completely - which isn't mentioned in the Amazon description nor depicted in the instruction leaflet. The leaflet mentions it only as a footnote: 'When you don't need it to work, remember to turn the black switch off'. Given that the whole unit is black, you have to look very hard to discover there's a miniscule lever on the side. It's probably not a very useful feature anyway.I do wish that Chinese manufacturers would ask an English-speaker to write their instruction leaflets! While most functions are self-explanatory, it shouldn't be necessary to translate some of the nonsense (e.g. 'mantic' = magnetic, 'adsorbed by' = an incorrect term for 'attached to').EDIT AFTER A MONTH'S USE: This is still working very efficiently. However, the plastic pull-down stand on the back now fails to support the unit properly.

estremamente semplice da usare. In particolar modo è molto comodo il display molto molto grande che si vede benissimo anche da lontano quando ci si aggira per la cucina indaffarati. La suoneria è potente e si sente bene anche se ci si sposta in un'altra stanza

Einfach zu bedienen und das Zahlen-Display ist extrem groß. Haftet magnetisch am Kühlschrank.
