It's a great shame. I bought this German product because of positive German reviews and its flexibility of design and, well, because it was German. It wasn't the cheapest available.Design-wise, it's well thought out and nicely built. It was easy to install and, since it had a common neutral terminal for input line and output line, I could use three-core and earth cable to keep things tidy (although there is no earth connection on the device (double-insulated?)). That also made it easier to uninstall...There are basically three elements to its function: a photodiode to suppress activation when ambient light exceeds the level set (this seemed to work); an infra-red motion sensor to activate the device (this seemed to work at first); and a timer to deactivate the device when a set time has elapsed (this also seemed to work at first).I adjusted the light sensor and set the time limit. The next day, the device activated in the evening when the light level fell but, apparently, with nothing and no-one moving anywhere. It then stayed on. No adjustment of the timer made any difference: it just stayed on. I could turn it off by adjusting the light level but that just shows the photodiode worked.The review asks for rating of the features "Motion detection" (well it doesn't do the job, so one star), "Ease of installation" (very straightforward, so five stars), and "Sheerness" (I've no idea what that could possibly mean, so one star). Overall rating: it didn't do the job, so one star.I've removed it and returned it for a refund.Like I said, it's a great shame.

Ich habe bewusst etwas länger gewartet,bis ich eine Bewertung zu diesem Bewegungsmelder abgebe,da andere Hersteller bereits nach 1 oder 2 Jahren den Dienst quittierten.Jetzt 4 Jahre durchgehend im Betrieb und er läuft immer noch zuverlässig wie am ersten Tag trotz Wind und Wetter sowie Sonneneinstrahlung. Die Linse und das Gehäuse wurde nicht brüchig,die Vergilbung hält sich sehr an die Grenzen. Würde ich ihn wieder kaufen? Ja,ganz klar!

Di facile installazione, e sensibile al passaggio. Possibilità di regolare i tempi di accensione e la luce diurna per non farlo intervenire. Perfetto!
