This is a small, compact tool that comes in its own case. It’s super easy to use and has been great for crimping terminals on my solar power box project. It works with various sizes and makes a tight crimp on both the terminal and wire—definitely better than the bigger tools I’ve used. As others have mentioned, the recommended sizes aren’t always accurate. You might need to go one or two sizes smaller for a proper crimp. I can’t recall if it’s one or two, but just be careful not to over-crimp. If you do, you might get some metal sticking out, which can be sharp. A tiny bit is fine, but more than 1/16 of an inch means you’re overdoing it, which could affect the strength. The tool comes with really useful instructions that are worth the price alone. I’d share them, but they’re pretty handy as they are—they tell you which die to use for different wire sizes. It could be a bit better balanced for solo jobs, especially in tight spots, like crimping wires in a car. It’s manageable on your own, but having someone to hold the wire and terminal definitely helps. I also tried a crimping tool from another brand, but it didn’t work at all, so I returned it. This one has been perfect for assembling cable railings, crimping two ends on each cable. I’m really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. I can’t speak to its long-term durability yet since I’ve only had it a short while, but it’s been awesome so far!
