This thermometer is very precise, its readings coincide with Thermapen's readings, but it is very slow. It takes what seems like an eternity (over half a minute for sure) for it to get to the final value for the temperatures that I measure during cooking (in 120-180C range).

I read the reviews of the thermometers for nearly 200 pounds and I was surprised how many people weren't happy with them but many of the reviews rated this particular reasonably plant priced unit and they were right.
