I got this laptop cooler for my gaming laptop that had an issue which caused my fps to drop regularly. I didn't know what the problem was but I thought it might have had something to do with the cooling so I bought this. It helped a TON! Not only did it help with the fps stabilization, it also increased my average framerate a lot. Where I could play medium settings on ARK: Survival Evolved before with a lot of issues, I could now play it on the maximum settings without any issues and my fps was better than with the medium settings before. The only downside apart from its high price is the fact that it is really loud. I generally play with my headset on and I can barely hear it on its second setting but on the third I really do notice the sound. I tend to turn it off when I do things apart from gaming to stop the noise.Overall I do think it is a great product and I do advice it if you have some issues that might come from your (lack of) cooling.

First, credit where it's due, it does increase airflow through the laptop, HOWEVER, I haven't used it after the first trial because the sound is horrid, It's not the sound a normal laptop or pc makes when hot, this is in such a frequency that it pierces through my headphones, sitting in the same room when it's running is unbearable, if you want a headache then I'd suggest this product, even in it's lowest setting the sound is awful, plus when it's off it cuts off air access to the pc, so you'd be forced to have it on or take the laptop off. Do yourself a favour and buy a fan and aim it at the laptop and make sure the laptop is suspended from whatever it's sitting on, so air can go into the bottom and heat can be dissipated at the top, laptop coolers are basically a scam, it won't actually improve performance and temperature differences would be minimal, even with increased airflow. You can assume that your laptop is made to tolerate the heat, but I suppose it does have a lower life span than a desktop, but that's the case with all laptops.

Update: 20 Nov 2021:I have initiated the return process. The sounds started to show more often. I am sad as I was quite satisfied with the level of cooling and also the dust protection. Will be looking to buy from another seller and hope for better luck.Update: 14 Nov 2021:Started to hear odd noise from the coolers last night. Today my girlfriend also noticed it while I was away from the room. I sincerely hope this will not break up before at least one year in.Original Review: Purchased this cooler at long last as I had to replace the fan module on my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and saw the dust buildup for the past 4 months.I subtracted two stars as it was delivered in its original packaging, with no additional protection whatsoever. This is an electronics device and as such, it is sensitive to bad handling. Moreover, there were no stickers on the packaging (it was not sealed), so it could have been tampered with.Fortunately for me, there was no rattling or missing parts when I opened it.The cooler is replacing a Cooler Master Notepal XL for the following reasons:1. This cooler isolates the bottom of the laptop from dust and hair (I have six cats)2. This cooler also has filters on the intake vents, which help in preventing dust/hair buildup3. The isolation helps a lot with the airflow and thus improves the cooling4. This cooler is much more lap friendly compared to the CM one not only due to the flat bottom design but also due to the location of the intake ventsI am happy with the purchase, however, if you receive yours the same way, check it to make sure it is in a good shape.At this point I only hope that it will last for about 2 years, then its money well spent.

The product was damaged. I knew it when I saw the box for the first time. It is still functioning but why would I pay and get the damaged product right?

I didn't expect to get such a product ! Is working perfect and deliver performances as I hoped. I recommend. I use for a gaming laptop and on full speed of fan laptop is constantly at 60-65 degrees after 4-6-8 hours of intense gaming .

I was debating getting the IETS GT500 or the GT300 but ended up buying the GT300 because it does not require a separate external power, you can simply plug it into one of the ports on your laptop, way more portable and convenient. It has an extra USB port so it would kind of compensate for the USB port that it occupied on your laptop although keep in mind, the USB port is only USB 2.0 so not suitable for high data transfer devices, but would do the job for connecting an external keyboard or mouse or Bluetooth Dongle for your mouse.It has helped reduced the temps on my Alienware m16 laptop by 10 to 15C

Early days but seems well constructed, good fit for my large brand new gaming laptop and seems to be reducing temperatures by several degrees. Happy with it.The only downside is if your laptop heat exhaust is in the back as it will blow hot air where the cooler sucks it in. They do offer two plastic inserts to stick onto the laptop to guide the hot air away. Presume it works OK.There is noise. A constant whine that can be governed by which of the three fan speeds you use...but is there and is noticeable. I filter it out and am fine but some might find it annoying....but you cannot have moving parts and not have noise.Overall, I am very happy with it albeit early days. Looks good, fits well, reduces temperature a lot.
