This mic could be an amazing value and a new basic recommendation across our entire company, but it has 1 critical flaw that undermines it's usefulness.There is constantly random noises/feedback on the headphone monitoring port. These noises don't end up in the final mic feed, only when monitoring, but it makes the mic just too annoying to use for extended periods of time.I find this is a pattern with IK multimedia products. For example, the iloud micro monitors are one of the best tiny speakers ever made.... brought down by a horribly clunky propriety cable, one of the worst I've ever encountered.I hope for v2 releases of these products soon, so I can recommend them without caveats 🦆----------------------Another annoying thing, about this specific amazon listing and unlike IK multimedia's other amazon listings, is that international is restricted. I can't ship to users in the Philippines for example.

Okay so there's tons of videos and overviews about the features on this thing; noise cut filter, recording patterns, loopback, etc.But I just want to focus on the core functionality: the microphone and sound quality. At the end of the day, this is a mic. You can add all kinds of extra features to a product but if it's main functionality is lacking then the whole point of the product is lost.I was super skeptical of this mic at first. Because I see a whole bunch of extra features and think "okay, so they're trying to make up for a bad mic with bells and whistles".Turns out I was totally wrong. If you strip away all the extras, this thing is simply a great microphone on it's own, COMPLETELY worth the price. Seriously, it sounds great. This is a massive leap over what I was using before, it's not even close.My ONLY two complaints are:the only screw mount is on the left side of the mic, instead of the bottom... making this thing an absolute b-word to mount and position without the provided desk stand (glad it's included, but I hate desk stands). I REALLY wish the screw mount was on the bottom of the mic. Because it also just... looks weird too, especially on camera. I have to use a clamp mount holding it from the bottom in order to get an aesthetically pleasing mounting setup for this mic.And also: you WILL need a pop filter or a wind screen. P's, B's, S's and A's will peak and distort without one. So when you buy this, buy a pop filter or wind screen alongside this, do not overlook that. Mind you, this is completely normal for 99% of all microphones out of the box. Only difference is that lots of mics bundle in that stuff. Ik Multimedia seem to have stripped away all the extra pieces you'd usually get in these online mic bundles and poured those extra resources into simply making a great singular piece of gear. So the extra few bucks for a decent wind screen is more than worth it for me.
