There's a lot of fun little projects you can make with this and a raspberry pi, and a few other things usually. I ended up making a magic mirror following instructions I found online. The camera worked great. It shows a pretty good picture. The rest of the project, making the magic mirror, etc... that took quite a bit more work, but nothing too crazy. The camera is easy to connect to a raspberry pi on the pins on top. Then you just need to find some instructions for how to make it interface with the RPi, and do whatever it is you're trying to do... will probably take a little bit of python coding, or something similar. but most of the things this would be used for have already been done, so you can find the code online and copy paste it.
