As an experienced cross stitcher, I wouldn't say this project is for a beginner as I did run into a few problems.Firstly, the patterns are hard to follow at times as the colours on the fabric used are very faint and hard to see (image of clouds). You definitely need to focus and count your stitches.Secondly, there are not much of a margin, which makes it difficult to mount onto the felt backing. (Image provided).Thirdly, some colours are not indicated on the diagram (image of northern light pattern, light pink has no thread number indication).Fourthly, the incorrect thread colour is provided (given 3746 when needed 3764).Fifthly, you need to wash the fabric twice, I found I would wash it once, let it dry and then the edges had colour bleeding out so would need to wash it again.Finally, not enough white thread was supplied.Overall the patterns are beautiful and look lovely once complete.You are provided with thread, 6 needles, 1 threader, scissors, 6 patterned fabric, 6 felt backings and a diagram sheet.It's a lovely project to give a go but I would advise to buy fabric glue so you can seal the bookmarks more security as the ones with minor margins did start to fray.But overall it was a nice project to pass the time.

This is a fun set of 6 scenic cross stitch bookmarks. The designs each have their own special charm (though I do have my favourites) and the colours of the threads add to the joy of stitching these up. This set would be ideal for beginners or those who can’t spend too much time stitching, as they work up quite quickly and look beautiful.
