InLine 18648 modulaire kabel, RJ45 naar RJ12 stekker/stekker, 6-aderig, 10 m

I bought this cable thinking it would be able to give me ethernet on my laptop bit when I plugged the rj45 part of the cable into my laptop and then plugged the rj12 end which was the other part of the cable into my router nothing happened I was still connected to wifi for some reason I would like to know if I did something wrong or if I bought the wrong cable please someone help me.

Ne l'ai pas utilisé car RJ11 sur RJ45, donc inutilisable avec ligne et téléphone en RJ11.
