De prijs was leuk maar ik had de indruk dat er verschillende kleuren leds werden geleverd. Nu heeft elke afzonderlijke led meerdere kleuren. Ook leuk maar niet voor de toepassing die ik voor ogen had. Verder zijn ze goed en ben ik tevreden over de kwaliteit.

These LEDs run on 3V or thereabouts, and take between 7 and 20 mA each. There are four variants, two different sizes 3mm and 5mm, and two change speeds, slow ad fast. I went for the 3 mA slow type. All you need to do to make an illuminated sign is to wire them all in parallel and then connect two, AA or AAA cells. CR2032 types are not so good as they deliver limited current. The overall effect is impressive. The LEDs all start off on the same colour then change smoothly through a palette of 8 colours. After a few minutes they are out of step, so the individual LEDs are mostly different colours. I used a diffuser screen (a piece of baking parchment) to soften the light, which is otherwise intense. I recall the warnings on some LEDs, "do not stare intently at the LED" well this is true for the colour changing LEDs but the diffuser transforms the light into a softer glow of overlapping colours. Bearing in mind the low cost (7 pounds Sterling for one hundred) they are fantastic value for money. I used 20 of these LEDs running on two, N-type cells to create a Valentine's Day Gadget - fitted into a proprietary mint box!
