This piece of equipment is absolutely beautiful!I was also impressed with the packaging of my swift and winder. Everything was wrapped with care. As for the items themselves, the craftmanship is amazing and the quality is just brilliant. Its so nice to have something this eye catching as a part of my knitting supplies. I was also very pleased and quite surprised, to have had this ship so quickly! I ordered this set on Christmas, and it was delivered within 7 days! That's amazing!While there are no written directions, of there had been, i wouldnt have given them much mind. I jad these pieces put together with no issue, and didnt have to refer to the video instructions either.The winder also works very, very well! I had no need to hold the yarn to maintain tension. The winder is smooth and easy to use. Overall this was a great purchase, if youre on the fence, just try it! Im so happy that I did!

I needed a yarn winder and swift, and after looking at practically every one on Amazon, decided to splurge and get this one as it looked like a better quality product than the cheaper plastic ones.I received it today, and it came in several pieces with no instructions whatsoever on how to assemble or use it. After looking at the Amazon order there were a couple of videos that showed how to put it together.Using it is pretty simple. After a lot bit of trial and error, I'm confident I'll be able to make beautiful cakes of yarn. I like how it is sturdy and heavy so it doesn't slide around. The wood is beautiful too and it will look nice on the shelf of my craft room when I'm not using it. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of instructions in the box. All in all a great product.

The item is beautiful wood, and feels really sturdy. My main disappointment was the lack of a simple instruction sheet in the box. I eventually found a qr code on the base of one item purely by accident. Scan to go to a YouTube video which is 3 minutes long, but had no ability to expand to full screen.The first 2.5 minutes of the video were about taking it out of the box and unwrapping the components... kinda pointless, as you need to have unpacked it to see the qr code to get the video! 30 seconds of this small video about putting the winder together. No guidance on putting yarn holder together.It definitely needs better consideration for those who need support assembling items... dont assume everyone can work it out, or can see the small size video.
