Great CPU when using the latest mobo bios, however the latest Intel 200S BOOST update thing is a useless gimmick.On the Asus Proart board, the XMS tweaked profile gives far better speeds and lowers the ram latency by 17ns which doesnt OC the CPU at all.

No complaints about this CPU. To be fair, I jumped several generations and the improvement was crystal clear.I use it mainly for work, where I need raw power, and it does not disappoint me. It also keeps up for the gaming part, despite the not so kind reviews.Extremely fast and quite easy to tame, even with (actually beefy) air coolers. It sits just above 30 degrees at idle and hovers just around 80 at full load, even for sessions lasting tens of minutes at 100%.I would recommend it, although not too warmly, given the recent news about a socket review coming soon on the Intel side.Let's say it's a great CPU if you intend to use it for the next 4 or 5 years, and then change it together with the mobo. If instead you prefer to buy a mobo and run multiple CPUs on it in a few years, look at AMD.
