It has been a stable and cool processor. It didn't cost too much and it is completely adequate for my modest gaming needs which are not very demanding given that I mostly play strategy games, older RPGs, and Rocket League on a 1440x900 monitor. Speed-wise its probably only around 15% faster than my old CPU but even that CPU was perfectly adequate for my needs and I only upgraded because my computer didn't support Windows 11.I purchased this along with a Gigabyte B760M DS3H AC DDR4 motherboard and 2x16GB Silicon Power DDR4 RAM (SP032GXLZU320BDAJ7). Flashed the motherboard BIOS with the latest version to make sure it would support the 14th gen Intel CPU, which was convenient since you don't need RAM or CPU installed to flash the BIOS on this motherboard with the QFlash Plus feature. Added in the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 DDR5 video card, 500W power supply, and SSD from my previous PC and the PC has been completely stable and rock solid with no weird glitches or issues. The CPU and motherboard meet all the requirements for Windows 11 which my previous Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 cppu and Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H motherboard did not due to the processor generation and Trusted Platform Module requirements.
