I replaced the sand in my sand filter pump with these. I’m glad I did. I noticed occasional sand in my pool and there’s no chance of that with these. I’ve had them in for at least a month now and so far my pool is staying clear and when I also noticed I have not needed to backwash my pump as often as I did when I used sand. I would also recommend buying an extra set so when you take these out to wash them you can have a back up ready to go while these wash and dry. But these are supposed to last a very long time before needing to be cleaned. I love that they are reusable. I have the intex Krystal clear sx3000 and I used 3 packages. Working perfectly. It’s also so much less heavy than the sand. I could not empty the sand by myself to change it when needed. It was actually pretty hard to do even with help from my husband. Back achingly hard. These are so light I can handle them alone and there’s no getting aggravated with a major struggle and back pain. Also no sand making a huge mess.

Placed order on these fiber balls after an advice from a friend. For a really good pool cleaning, put a bunch of the balls into the pool cleaning robot and let it do its work. The balls will catch everything that normally just passes through the robot.
