I needed small fairly shallow moulds for making small cubes with freshly ground spices from the garden.How? Put spice like parsley in blender with water, run for two seconds and drain through sieve. Catch sieved blending water in container or pan. Add little bit of drained blended spice in each cube mould and add a few drops of blending water into each cube mould to avoid that spice will dry out during freezing. To put in the blending water you can use the practical small cyphon supplied with cube maker.I also quickly made some fresh garlic and fresh ginger cubes. This mould is a money saver. Garlic or ginger will no longer perish before it is used up. Instead, we will have the freshly froozen garlic or ginger available year round.Only design flaw: The silicone unit is too large. Too many moulds in each of the 3 units. This was very easy to remedy; I cut each unit (14 cubes "long") into two units of 7 cubes long - giving me 6 units.What is excellent of this product: Small size of each mold and flexibility of silicone material. This product is ideal for making freshly frozen spice cubes... Giving you the closest thing to freshly froozen spices from our yard all year round ... Far tastier than dried spices less expensive and conveniently available every day from your freezer with a fresh taste and a fresh colour too.Also very nice: Silicone is easy to clean!The price for the 3 units (which I converted to 6) made this an item if a good value to me. It is obviously made to last a very long time!
