Smart 300mm long brass hook, robust enough to hold my patio door and snug fit so doesn't rattle. Used slightly larger no.6 brass screws though.

I'm very pleased with this product, it's not easy to get the combination of 12" length plus solid brass. The hook and latch really are solid and excellent quality. The screws, and only the screws, are plated - but I would have been surprised if they'd been anything else. I used my own brass screws.

The quality of the second three I bought was not as good as the first pair. I had to drill out the hole to get the hook to fit with two of them

I wanted this to hold the door of my shed ajar to allow ventilation but not slamming in the wind. It is to help wood to dry. It feels good quality and was just the right length for me. Seems good quality and did not disappoint

I bought this hook for my garden cabin and attached it with the screws sent (these were brass coloured) through I found wood screws a bit better than these. I bought 2 and they are both working well, the only downside is that the hole on the latch is a tad small and can be a bit tough to get in if you are in a rush. Apart from that really attractive sturdy things, have had no problems.
