Q: Waarom krijg ik een onverwacht lagere beeldkwaliteit bij het gebruik van Skype?
A: Normaal gesproken ondersteunen conferentiesoftware zoals Skype, Zoom of Teams alleen tot 720p voor videogesprekken (Skype voor Bedrijven ondersteunt tot 1080p). En deze software past de beeldkwaliteit aan op basis van de snelheid van de internetverbinding. Als de verbindingssnelheid laag is, wordt de beeldkwaliteit automatisch verlaagd tot 480p, 360p of zelfs minder.

In the description, it is stated that this webcam is compatible with Linux, but it is NOT, comparable with Linux.

I purchased this webcam three years ago and thought it was about time to give a review. As we all know, technology can be fickle. The first two years with this webcam were wonderful. High quality, clear picture and the mic seemed to work well enough. I never received any complaints from people in video meetings. This last year is when things started to go wonky. People would mention I sounded "echo-y" and in a tin can. As time went on, the camera would have a hard time connecting and being recognized by my laptop device or video program - it didn't matter if it was Google Meet or Zoom. I would have to unplug and plug back in. Sometimes multiple times until it would finally connect.I came on to give my review and just say it gets fickle but then noticed I purchased this THREE years ago! By today's standards, that's a long time for tech! SO... I've changed my tune. This webcam lasted a long time with heavy use. Now that it's reached the granny stage and starting to show its age... it's time to let go.Anyhoos, if you are searching for a good, economically priced webcam, this is the one. You'll be set for the next three years.

Really good, compact webcam and it's NOT made in Communist China. j5 cameras are made by our friends in Taiwan so, in the absence of a US made alternative, I'm happy to give my business to such a great ally. Very reasonably priced and extremely easy to install with no tech issues, even on an older (5 years) desktop. Seller made it an easy transaction so no issues there, either.

Other than not noticing the protective plastic over the front, I had some mic complaints. Companion pack provides an interface to adjust cam. Should have more features and tuning capabilities and should include some insta gram type filters to take funnier vids with. But it works. Did nothing more than plug it i n. Works well with OBS...
