Awesome bit of kit, I'm using it to hold down my side mounted parasol. They are difficult to accurately install and takes a lot of effort to get them in the ground. have a gen 3 m18 impact driver and it took mild effort to install. I think a normal combi drill would be fine to get it started but you would need a good rench or spanner to get it down properly. I think I would have struggled to get it started with just a spanner/socket and rench.Now there down they are solid. I would need to put considerable effort to pull out and definitely not by hand. I removed one to reposition and it comes out supper easy by undoing it.So far the only issue I've noticed is the paint has come off as they have gone in the ground. But that isn't particularly unexpected as there's going to be stones in the ground extra and a lot of force is applied in drilling them in.My garden is quite sandy but hard fyi

Die Bodenanker sind genau richtig für meine Anwendung. Daher vergebe ich 5 Sterne, obwohl ich hier einige Nachteile aufliste. Man sollte einfach wissen, was die Dinger können und was nicht.Ich habe Sandsteinstufen gesetzt und wollte diese fest verankern, ohne zu betonieren. Mein erster Versuch mit Einschlagankern war nicht erfolgreich, da diese Zuviel Spiel im Boden hatten, so dass die Stufen wackelten, wenn man darauf trat. Nach längerer Recherche habe ich diese Einschraubanker gefunden und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.Insgesamt sehe ich folgende Vor- und Nachteile:- Man kann die Anker nicht sehr präzise setzen. Beim Einschrauben rutschen sie gern mal einige Zentimeter in die eine oder andere Richtung. Ich habe das so gelöst, dass ich zuerst die Anker samt Winkeln eingeschraubt und anschließend die Stufen platziert und angebohrt habe.+/- Die ersten 20 cm ließen sich in meinen Boden per Akkuschrauber oder Bohrmaschine eindrehen, danach war für meine beiden Makitas Schluss, und es ging nur mit Knarre und viel Kraft. Bitte den Schrauber nicht auf Bohren stellen, sonst verdreht es Dir beim ersten Steinchen das Handgelenk.+ Mit ausreichend Kraft überwinden die Anker diverse Hindernisse. Kleinere Wurzeln werden durchstoßen, Steinchen zur Seite geschoben. Die Spitze ist offenbar perfekt für den Einsatz konstruiert.+ Einmal im Boden, halten die Anker bombenfest. Sie haben noch einige mm Spiel, aber das habe ich gelöst, indem ich etwas Abstand zwischen Winkel und Stufe gelassen habe. Nachdem die Schrauben angezogen waren, hat nichts mehr gewackelt, auch nicht bei Belastung der Stufen mit 100 kg.Also für mein Projekt perfekt.

I'm sick of the girls swing coming up off the ground all the time. I've tried a few different things and have been using heavy duty tent pegs which were ok but needed something better.I spotted these and they looked just the job so thought I'd give them a go.I drove them into the ground using a ratchet wrench rather than a drill and they went in really easily.I started off having the top ring above the ground (see picture) but due to the design of my swing having the holes in the legs much lower I decided to dig down a little and have the ring underground too (no picture as....well..... it's underground). This worked much better and I would recommend doing it this way if you have a similar style swing. I placed a few large stones under the legs too to keep the legs from sinking into the freshly filled in hole.The swing had been solid for weeks now so I'm very very happy with the results and when I move house they'll be easy to remove and take with us.
