Jazz Standards: Female Voice, Volume 1: Deluxe Double Edition: 16 Great Songs!

I ordered this as a singer who's new to Jazz singing and it's perfect for me. The arrangements are suited to a lower female voice and I really enjoyed the selection of songs; they're all accessible and well known. There's nothing really impossible to sing - but some will certainly require plenty of practice! The voice of the performer on the song Demos is very lovely and she is easy to follow. I recommend this to others like me, who want a good introduction to jazz but not too much of really tricky scatting,

Lo compre pensando por el titulo que era jazz , pero no es, creía que los cd tendrían una pista completa y otra sin piano, pero tiene una completa y otra sin la voz cantante. El libro trae la partitura de la voz cantante con la letra y partitura del piano, pero es acompañamiento, y los acordes de guitarra, al abrir en el ordenador el cd se abre con un programa que permite subirle o bajarle la tonalidad y aumentar o disminuir el tiempo y silenciar la voz de la cantante solista , por lo que solo lo recomiendo para cantantes femeninas, y que no busquen jazz porque son versiones muy buenas pero estandar.Traen 16 canciones, y curioso, los dos cd traen lo mismo, los dos traen la mismas 16 canciones iguales.

Die Auswahl der Stücke ist natürlich Geschmackssache, mir gefällt sie aber sehr gut. Etwas umständlich finde ich die Sortierung der vocals und der playbacks, die 8 Stücke auseinander liegen, also nicht nebeneinander. Dadurch ist das wechseln von der einen zu der anderen Version recht mühsam. Wegen der insgesamt sehr guten Brauchbarkeit dennoch 5 Sterne.

This song book is awesome. I love the song selection and the fact that it comes with a demonstration and accompaniment tracks. It is great if you don't have your own accompanist. The only problem I found is that I am a soprano and all the key signatures are very low-still singable, but not in my most comforatble range. This book would be great for altos!!
