My wind chimes are about 28 years old. My mom, when she was alive, bought one set of wind chimes a year, but they ran about $400.00 (she started 28 years ago and bought five chimes before she passed) so needless to say I was not about to get rid of them when the cord broke or the wind sail dropped off. So I thought for 2 years how was I going to fix four of the chimes, plus a couple extra I added to those she purchased. Then I saw the cord locks!! I ordered the double-hole cord locks to connect the chime tubes (I took and added pics to this review.) Then I ordered the single-hold cord locks to secure the 'clapper.' And because my cord kept breaking over the years, I bought SGT KNOTS Tarred Twine/Bank Line - 1/4 Pound - #24 (175 feet) to restring the wind chime. I took the entire thing apart and restrung it, and now, it's chiming in the wind. So far I have repaired three chimes. The picture of the one I deconstructed might not be the 'prettiest repair, but it works, and since I'm 69—I don't really care. :)

I got the black two-hole locks. Smooth and tight. Good size for 700 paracord. Recommended.
