This motorcycle rucksack is perfect size for using outdoors. It can be used on your back whilst on your motorcycle or stored away in thr minted storage on your motorcycle. It is lightweight and the rol top allows tou to extend or adjust the size accordingly to your need and space. The waterproof outer layer is effevtuve and it plain style of black backpack that most people would like to use. Also it has a handy front pocket at the front too with zipper.

During 20+ years in the motorcycle saddle I’ve tried a variety of waterproof pannier solutions but have always had a standard rucksack, so I decided to upgrade to this JDC 100% Waterproof version. Quite simply, it’s is a fairly simple yet superb backpack that does everything I require of it.After decades of placing a plastic bag inside my rucksack to waterproof my belongings it’s a breath of fresh air to drop my laptop and other items straight into the main storage area. As a motorcycle rucksack this bag is completely waterproof whilst travelling. The body of the bag is made of a plastic-fused material and the seams and seals are fully watertight so water runs right off. The roll and fasten opening (that can be rolled more or less to provide the 25L-30L capacity) is easy to use and provides a superb seal, and the rugged carry handle is strong and feels reliable. The white printed pattern and JDC logo are reflective and help keep you seen at night. The straps are nicely padded, feature venting to help reduce sweat buildup and, most importantly, clip together across the chest so the bag remains safely in position and comfortable to wear whilst eating up the miles.Unlike some standard rucksacks there aren’t a slew of different storage areas, but it still has plenty to offer. The main storage compartment is sensibly sized and carries a large laptop and all my everyday items without issue. There is pocket on the face of the bag and the main compartment features an integrated hook-and-loop attachment at the back to dock a removable panel of pockets that’s useful for storing smaller items. And the beauty is knowing that everything will remain fully protected from splashes and downpours. This is a well designed, good looking, comfortable and useful rucksack for motorcycling use.

A good size rucksack with great waterptoofing.Full disclosure; I don’t own a motorbike. But I do have a bicycle which I use often, and have exactly the same set of requirements for my bag, when out in the rain.I have a few dry-bags, but none are quite as robust as this one. It feels substantial and very tough in the hand, and I like the flexibility that a roll top bag offers, in terms of how I can size the bag bigger or smaller according to what I’m carrying. When you’re out in driving rain, moving forward at speed really does test bags to their limits—motorcycles even more so I would imagine, given the speeds you’re traveling—so you need an outstanding solution. This really does give you confidence. The main body of the bag is made from a tough and thick tarpaulin-style material that has a plasticized backing, with all the seams heat-welded to seal them completely. I haven’t tried it, as I don’t want to get my nice new bag wet through, but I’m pretty sure you could use this as a bucket, if you had to!As I mentioned, the fastening is a roll-top, so it’s more watertight than any zip system, and you have that added flexibility in size, according to how much you choose to roll it.This whole unit is on the heavy side—not framed rucksack heavy, but more than a standard about-town rucksack. That really that isn’t so much of an issue when you’re on a bik of any kind, and I don’t think you’d notice it if you were just using it about town, but I wouldn’t like to go on a full-day hike with this. Then again, that’s not what it’s for.Internally you’re not getting that many pockets, which is typical of dry-bags. They have included a big Velcro-on set of pockets if you need them, which is a good idea, and you have a single good-sized pocket on the front, set with a plasticized waterproof zip.On the outer pocket is a large light-reflecting logo and hatch pattern which is great for making sure that you’re seen form behind in the dark.I’ve had this with me on three heavy rain days now, and it’s kept its contents completely bone dry.I don’t think you can ask for more than that, and this has definitely been upgraded to my number-one Winter biking rucksack. It’s roomy, it’s comfy, it works well and it looks smart. Very happy with it.

This JDC motorcycle rucksack is brilliantly waterproof, including around the zips. Absolutely ideal if you'll be carrying it around in wet weather. I like that it does have a waist and chest strap on it (not quite the same as a hiking rucksack but it does keep the bag close to your body and helps share out the weight). The roll stop style is good for avoiding water ingress and it does make it very easy to open the bag wide to get things in. You can also roll it further down if the bag is only part full, which is also handy. There is no separation areas inside the bag, it's just one big open space. It does come with an internal sleeve you can remove which attaches with hook & loop to the inside of the bag. Therefore although it's big enough to fit in a laptop, there's nothing to hold it securely inside the bag. Not a problem if you've got loads to pack into the bag anyway, but if it's mostly empty, the laptop will just flop around.I've been using this walking to/from work and uni. It's important my laptop, books and papers are dry, which they have been without fail. The only bit I don't like about this bag is the big JDC logo and reflective patterning. I'd prefer something a bit more discrete and less obvious. I imagine if you're riding a motorbike, this might be really useful, but for just carrying around town, I don't need to be so reflective!!
