These bear claws are sturdy and well made. Hand wash and oil the handles: wood is sustainable but needs TLC. Got these to shred my Instant Pot brisket and pork pot roasts. However, they are brilliant to move the meat around in the IP pot - sautée-ing the meat is vital for a good pot roast but the space is limited and it's hard to find a utensil that can scoop and turn on a small ppt. These bear claws fit the bill: easy to hold, strong and compact enough to scoop and lift a joint that's stuck to the bottom of the pan. Beware: the claws are quite sharp though, so great as you would a knife in terms of handling and storage.I strongly recommend this item.
