I thought I'd give one of these slow-feeder bowls a try. My dog was always wolfing down his food, and then later throwing it back up since he ate so fast. I tried this out and now it takes him twice as long to eat since he has to "work for it" now, but it has certainly made a difference. No throwing up lately, thank goodness, one less gross thing to deal with.One thing however, is that the bowl measures slightly smaller than advertised. It says 8.1 inches across, but with my tape measure, it's closer to 7.75. Not a big deal, it still hold plenty of food, but it's not exactly accurate. It comes with rubbery pads that you have to apply to the bottom yourself so it doesn't slide around on the floor. The plastic material it's made from seems thick and durable, and smooth-edged so no worries about Fido's tongue getting hurt. Thanks for saving me paper towels! Recommended!

Needed something to stop new pup gulping her food down. This worked

Got this for my boy who tends to eat so fast he throws up. This slows him down, forcing him to fish for kibble so he eats at a slower pace and actually swallows. The grips on the bottom make it firm enough he doesn't end up sliding the plate around either.

Je voulais que mon chien mange moins vite, ça n'a pas vraiment fonctionné.! Ça le ralenti un peu mais pas comme j'aurais voulu. Mon fils a acheté le même plat pour son chien sans qu'on se soit parlé et lui aussi trouvé que c'est ok sans plus
