El adaptador solo es compatible con la tecnología NGFF, si eliges un SSD NVME aparecerán fallos, yo lo llevo usando con un NVME más de un año, y cada día o cada 2 días aparece una carpeta con una interrogante cuando abro el portatil mientras se sobrecalienta, tengo que apagarlo y encenderlo. El adaptador funciona, y funciona bien. Permite velocidades muy altas en mi caso 1.3gb/s de escritura y lectura.

Der SSD Konverter funktioniert am MacBook Pro (Early 2015) hervorragend. Leider musste ich schlechte Erfahrung mit der Samsung 960 Pro (512 gb) machen. An meinem MacBook erzeugte die SSD unglaublich viel Wärme trotz durchschnittlicher Belastung/Nutzung. Die originale Apple SSD ist im Vergleich zur Samsung 960 Pro temperaturtechnisch nah am Polarkreis. Tatsächlich hat die Samsung 960 Pro sehr viel Strom verbraucht (im Schnitt 4-5 Watt), was recht viel ist. Aus diesem Grund war auch der Akku meines MacBooks deutlich schneller leer, als mit der originalen Apple SSD. Nach einigen Recherchen mit besonderen Fokus auf Energieverbrauch, stachen vor allem zwei SSDs hervor: WD Black 500gb und Intel 760p 512gb.Die Entscheidung fiel dann auf die Intel 760p. Sie bleibt auch bei intensiver Nutzung recht kühl. Auch die Akkulaufzeit hat sich wesentlich verbessert und orientiert sich nah an der Laufzeit mit originaler Apple SSD. Der Grund ist ganz einfach: Die Intel 760p verbraucht deutlich weniger Strom bei ungefähr gleicher Schreib-und Leserate wie die Samsung 960 Pro. Unabhängig davon hat sich die Schreib- und Leserate mehr als verdoppelt, egal welche von den drei SSDs genutzt wurde. Auch das war sehr erfreulich. Ich kann den Konverter und in Kombination mit der Intel 760p uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

This device worked and fit perfectly on my MacBook Pro 15 inch mid-2015 in combination with the Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 1TB Drive and High Sierra. Be sure to read through the positive reviews first on amazon.com as the right combination and procedure will save you pain.After getting this little device, at first I thought I would save some loot by purchasing a WD Black Gen3 512GB NVMe drive, and although this worked in a limited capacity I ended up taking that back and getting the tried and tested Samsung EVO 970. Here's what happened: The install with the WD Black drive went just fine, fit nicely, and I followed the process of creating a Ubuntu USB boot stick to format the drive as suggested in some of the reviews, then booted from a High Sierra USB boot stick and was able to use disk utility to see and format the drive. During the High Sierra installation, though, when it would attempt to reboot it would start rebooting but then hang, so I had to perform a hard shutdown and startup each time a restart process took place. Even though the computer worked fine after the install, the reboot process was always the same and required a hard shutdown. In addition, using Black Magic Disk Speed test showed that the drive read speeds were a little slower than the original Apple drive, but the the write speeds were down around 450MB/s - about 1/3 or less of the original Apple drive. And the drive seemed to get a bit hot for my liking.I decided to take the WD drive back and exchange it for the Samsung 970 EVO NVMe - the 1TB version which just happened to be on sale :). Blamo - what a difference. The drive fit perfectly just like the WD, but I didn't need to use the Ubuntu boot stick and format procedure this time, Disk Utility from the High Sierra boot stick saw the drive natively so I was able to format and install High Sierra with no issues or restart trouble. Furthermore, Black Magic Disk Speed showed just shy of double of what the speeds were on the original Apple drive, both read and write.In the end this little device saved me tons of cash and helped get me not only more drive space, but also great speed and reliability. Shipping time is reasonable from China. 5 stars.
