These chains are fantastic. I love them. I have a 2012 Prius with that damned traction control system that shuts down power to your tires when you need it the most, like when you're in snow and you need power. So, even though I've got great snow tires on, as soon as it snows, my car is as good as useless. I live at the top of a mountain and getting home on a snow day is a nightmare that often involves parking the car and hiking back home. I bought these chains, I put them on during one of these snow days, and I could not believe the difference they made. I'm not kidding you folk's when I tell you that these chains turned my Prius into a 4 x 4. I climbed that mountain as if there was no snow on the ground, and it was already a foot deep. I even accelerated and that traction control did not come on once. I love these chains, and I can't say that enough.I'd like to share a tip for putting them on. When you take them out of the case, hold them in front of you and make sure that there are no kinks in the chain. If there are just spin the top of the kinked section around a couple of times until they are all straight. Then, make sure that you slide that yellow end of the cable behind the tire. I just push it through until I can see it. Then I pull it up to the top of the tire on a diagonal angle. Then I bring the other end of the cable up on a diagonal as well and I connect the two section. At this point, the chains are not hanging right, but they are connected. Next I connect the side chain, it's the one with the red hooks. After that, the chains are still not over the tires properly so you just start pulling on them till they are. As you're doing this try to get all the hardware pieces, colored in red, out to where you can work with them, they are probably going to be somewhere behind the tire. Once you have that done, just connect everything up, like the back of the case shows you. I found the instructions on the back of the case better than the booklet that they give you. This sounds like a lot to do, but it's really easy. The first time I did it it took me about 10 minutes total. After that it got a lot faster to do. I also do one more thing. I have a vice clamp, 24" that you normally use to hold pieces of wood together. I use that thing to pull the top and bottom sections of the chains together, so that I don't have to use brute force to get the tension chain on as tight as it can go. The clamp does the job for me, I just keep squeezing the trigger on it till it pulls those chain sections up to where it's easy to hook the tension chains link, right behind the red link on the side chain. Doing it this way ensures that I don't have to stop in a 100 feet and retention the chains.Again, I'm not kidding, when I say these are the best set of chains I've ever worked with. I'm amazed!

Delivery was quick and smooth. Os has nice case and the quality seems excellent.We haven’t got chance to use it last winter, as the car tires and 4x4 was sufficient for the snow and icy conditions.

This pridcut arrived earlier than I expected and it's easy to be installed in my car. The price is also very competitive!

Bought this for tires size 215/50/R17. Had to use them twice and this is what I observed.The chains fit very snug but not to an extend where it is hard to install. On the opposite actually, love the fact that I don't need to move the car to get them on the tires and the second time I had them installed in less than 5 min. Used them on plowed logging roads and they performed well, though might go with something bigger than 12mm next time. For paved roads these are more than enough IMO.

If you are at the side of the road trying to fit chains you will wish you had gone for quality. Buy once and save in the long run..
