1.5M Floor Cable Protector - 13.99Coiled for shipping - Needs to be laid out and maybe a bit of heat (hair dryer etc) to soften and relax to make flat.It's solid yet flexible, heavy duty, will cut though takes a sharp blade and some effort, which is pretty much what you want for even a semi-industrial application.It's got a fair heft and should last well, price is pretty reasonable and if the sizes work, you should do well here.

I needed to replace the protector that has been covering one of my garden irrigation hoses as it had seen better days and this looks to fit the bill. The 1.5 meter strip comes tightly rolled and the instructions say to roll it back up the other way round in order to flatten it out, definitely wishful thinking, I had to leave it in a warm place for several days laid out with weights along the length. As can be seen in the photos the plastic did not really want to smooth out and there are still a lot of ripples along what should be a smooth top surface. The underside of the main channel was easy to cut as instructed with a blade only protruding 3-4mm so you don't cut the top surface, my irrigation hose just fitted into the 11mm high channel and as the strip is located outside the rippled surface doesn't bother me, if indoors however it would be another matter. The nice thing about this cover strip for me is that there is still scope to run smaller hose through the two side channels if I need to.

Wanted to get rid of some cables that I cannot route anywhere else just through the whole room, I had 3 options, run it in the wall, which includes making holes and guessing if I hit a stud halfway just to have another hole made. I could have hung it from the ceiling, but come on that does not look good at all. And the quick but safe solution on the floor but properly to be trip safe.While it is rolled up for delivery it takes a while to un-curl well okay a long time. The inside where cables can be ran however are quite spacious, its almost too big for my use-case. But I know if I need another cable this will have enough space for more.The color is black with yellow stripes so its visible from a distance, maybe if it had different color options for indoor use that would also be nice, but I get the point its to be visible so no one can trip.Now the cutting part, well I would not cut this to be honest, its thick and you would not be able to make a nice cut that is straight without some bigger equipment to actually cut a single line.
