The color is far more red than advertisedCompared to actual bakelite tortoise it's brutally obvious how cheap and off this is.

The tortoise shell looks great with my purple Squier Strat, and while all the pickups and knobs fit, the screw holes did not line up with the existing holes in the body of the guitar. I had to drill out the bottom right corner (nearest bridge) and bottom middle holes in the pickguard in order to fit it on my guitar. None of the backplate holes were even close, and the plate itself was actually noticeably smaller than the existing white single ply plastic plate that I had to leave on. Not super mad as this was a cheap way to spice up a gifted guitar, but still frustrating that I had to modify the product from factory to even get half of what I purchased to fit. Would recommend saving your money here unless you really need a replacement for a broken pickguard or something.

The actual color for vintage tortise is much redder than pictured. If you want a red tortise it looked nice, but I was looking for something more brown like pictured.

On Amazon this looks brown but when you get it, it looks more red. If you want the brown look be sure to order the dark tortoise
