Just the kind of thing you need to test your circuits. It works surprisingly well looks good and a good price.

I read ALL reviews. Out of the box, the ground clamp sleeves were slipping off. So, I improved this by adding black and blue heat shrink. Refer to my photo. The blue heat shrink being shorter acts as a “locking” collar over the black heat shrink. Note the fold back on the ground wire. I also moved the probe tip up the cable and since I was at it, put red heat shrink on the exposed shank of the probe. Moving the probe tip up the cable curl improves tip retention naturally due to the looped coil spring tension.This probe tester is for DC use only. Do not use it to test AC power in your home. I tested 1.5 volt, 9 volt, auto 12 volt and 24 volt batteries. The readings were fairly accurate when verified with my Fluke true RMS multimeter. The ohms readings were off but one would only use this probe to establish continuity. One would use the multimeter for serious, accurate, troubleshooting. This probe is a step up from the DC probes with the simple LED or incandescent bulb in the handle. I have one of those in each of my vehicles.Store this in your vehicle in the trunk but not in glove box. Heat in the car during summer can be excessive. Also remember to change the AAA battery once a year. If it leaks, it will make a mess on the pc board in the battery compartment. I do this at Christmas time for all battery devices including smoke detectors, CO sensors, battery powered clocks etc… easy to get into this habit once December rolls around.This unit is good value for the money. Comes with a zippered case. Multilingual manual, AAA battery. I wouldn’t leave my expensive multimeters in my vehicles but with this price point and functions, this is a great little unit. The hold function is nice as well for those times probing under the dash connections don’t permit a viewing angle. So, overall, I’m pleased with this unit. Thank you.
