Our toddlers have been using Kalencom Potette Potty when traveling and using a public restroom is too much of a hassle. It opens up and stands on its own on grass, gravel, dirt, and even sand. I think this is really a smart design and practical. I started off buying to potty train my two year old. She really liked it when it arrived on our door step so we started the process right after recieving it. I would turn on a potty time show for her around the time she was due to pee. Well it would take her awhile to go so her little tushy would hurt from it. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because with potty training and taking time to learn on it it's a little rigid for the bum. I then ordered the silicon collapsible and reusable sinert for it and it took the edge off. If yiu are trying to buy this with potty training purposes to start with I suggest ordering the insert with it and starting with both pieces and using the disposable liners that come with it when you go out of the house.

We are out and about a lot, so I got this to try and stay consistent with potty training with my toddler. He has a Munchkin floor potty he has been working with primarily which has a wider rim to sit on, so I think he’s not a fan of the narrower rim on this seat which doesn’t offer much support, especially when placed on a gaping wide adult public toilet seat. It does fit and it stays still, but I imagine it feels kind of like being the clown in one of those carnival dunk tank games. He liked sitting on it In the ground with the liner, so we’re going to keep working with it as he gets used to this potty thing. Worth trial and error for $16ish, and it fits easily in the diaper bag with plenty of room for everything else.

Buy it, you won’t regret it! Having a 2.5 year old who has recently been potty trained and finding a clean safe public bathroom is a nightmare(especially with a girl). Worry no more with this light weight travel potty. It’s literally saved us from TONS of accidents. We take it and have used it everywhere we go. City streets, trains, car rides but most of all playgrounds. When your kid/s has to go they have to go! Good luck running, trying to find a bathroom with your other children and a stroller. Almost impossible. They can’t hold it for long so having this travel potty makes life so convenient. We get stopped often when it’s out and so many people can’t believe how cool it is. It’s my favorite child item for sure! You won’t regret it.We store ours in a light weight draw string bag, with tissues, wipes and tons of plastics bags and we’re good to go!
