Unfortunately I have had to return this item. First the good - the image quality is as good as advertised. Sadly it’s totally let down by the sound. After being turned on for just over 10 minutes the camera got very hot and what I guess is an onboard fan kicked in and totally ruined the sound being recorded. I should stress that although turned on, the camera was not running continuously just two separate short video clips of roughly 1 minute each. If you just want this camera for pictures and are prepared to add your own sound then I’m sure you will be pleased otherwise you could take the risk and hope I got a random faulty unit.UPDATE - Following this review and comments I posted on my You Tube Channel and Facebook I received feedback from both the Manufacturer and existing users. There is apparently a firmware fix now out plus I apparently missed an item in the settings which enables me to totally turn off the fan. So I am awaiting a replacement and felt it only fair to upgrade my rating to reflect my satisfaction with all other aspects of the camera. Now using the replacement with the fan turned OFF and all seems well.

Ich habe die Q-Cam 3 Ultra bereits in einigen Punkten getestet und bin absolut begeistert. Die Auflösung ist deutlich höher als alles, was ich bisher hatte – gestochen scharf und mit superflüssigen Aufnahmen. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Vibrationsausgleichsfunktion, die perfekt arbeitet, als würde die Kamera in der Luft schweben. Auch die Unterwasseraufnahmen (bislang getestet bis 1 Meter Tiefe) waren einwandfrei, und die Kamera funktionierte danach tadellos weiter. Insgesamt ein qualitativ hochwertiges Produkt, das mich bislang rundum zufrieden stimmt!

The QooCam 3 Ultra is the latest and no doubt the best 360 consumer camera on the market. Support from Kandao is very good, which is very important with new products on the market. Yes there are teething problems, but that is expected with a new product. The important thing is how quickly those problems are resolved. The QooCam 3 Ultra allows me to take very good 360 photos with excellent resolution using a camera that is affordable. Well done Kandao.

Comprei esta câmera devido à publicidade gerada à volta dela, por ser uma câmera bastante capaz de obter uma boa imagem em condições de fraca iluminação. Após teste não foi isso que verifiquei, a câmera mesmo durante o dia com céu nublado, apresenta bastante ruido na imagem. Não compreendo como é que o sensor produz tanto ruido mesmo com a suposta abertura de lente que dizem ter. O software de edição ainda está numa fase muito embrionária, sendo muito lento na reprodução no time line e na renderização do vídeo sendo que as principais funções não funcionam corretamente, como por exemplo a estabilização de imagem e remoção de artefactos. Faltam também ferramentas importantes, como fazer zoom na barra do time line e conseguir eliminar os vectores gerados pelo o rastreamento de pessoas com IA. Funções como o dehaze ou remoção de aberração cromática, não funcionam. Enviei um e-mail ao fabricante demonstrando o meu descontentamento com o produto mas ainda não obtive qualquer resposta. Penso seriamente em devolver o produto para comprar o seu concorrente mais bem desenvolvido, a insta 360. Desapontado com a qualidade de imagem, mesmo uma filmagem feita durante o dia, no fim de ser renderizado no software, a qualidade de saída parece 480p em vez dos 5k configurados no software. Relativamente à app para android funciona bem mas, quando se minimiza o app e voltamos a entrar com a câmera em gravação, a sincronização demora um pouco. A visualização de vídeo em tempo real também não é permitida quando gravado a 10bits tanto no telefone como na câmera. A bateria também é um ponto negativo, pois quando se efectua uma gravação em 8k em 360° esta é drenada muito rápido, tendo um ponto positivo, pois é possível ligar uma power bank enquanto funciona. Até que a câmera e o software de edição sofram uma tremenda actualização, não recomendo esta câmera.
