The connectivity and looks of the speakers are amazing. Unfortunately, I've had my Kanto Yu6 for about 3 years before they broke down. They don't power on anymore. Inside the powered speaker, everything is glued down so repair shops refuse to repair them because it's just doable. The manual speaks of a fuse but the fuse isn't changeable either because everything is glued to each other. Kanto's support basically replied: "have you tried turning it off and on again" as their only solution.If you buy this speaker please keep in mind that once it breaks down, you can yeet them off a cliff.

Bonne sonoritee. L entree phono pour la platine vinyle est bien mais je conseil quand meme un vrai pre ampli. Le BT est excellent et les ensceintes equilibree. Je recommande pour ce budget c est imbattable.Note: les miennes avaient deja etes deballees. Avec une legere rayure sur une des enceintes. Amazon m a proposer de les retournee, mais comme elles sont en rupture de stock, j ai preferer les garder et accepter un ( tout petit, voir symbolique) dedommagement.

So, I only got these Kanto YU6 yesterday and I know they need time to 'burn in', but they sounded so great out of the box, I wanted to put a short review up immediately. These replaced my much smaller Audioengine HD3s, and I agonised for ages whether to get the Audioengine HD6 or the Kanto YU6. In the end I went for the Kanto because a) they are somewhat cheaper and b) they are physically smaller - just 28cm tall vs 30cm which makes a slight difference in my room. The Audioengine speakers feature a Class A/B amplifier vs the Class D of the Kanto, but I decided that for my situation the difference was negligable. I was also attracted by the Kanto YU6 having an inbuilt phono pre-amp and a subwoofer connection, although lacking a USB input. So, I have set them up with my turnbable, and they sound really excellent - very detailed in the mid-range. I played 'There Goes Rhymin' Simon' on vinyl and was hearing details I haven't heard before - and I've owned that album from when it first came out!There are a couple of negatives though - although whether these are down to the Kanto or my other equipment I couldn't say. Firstly, using the built-in phono pre-amp, I couldn't get rid of the hum. (The pre-amp itself worked fine amplifying my Ortofon MM cartridge). Connecting the earth strap from the turntable reduced it somewhat, but it was still very noticeable. I reinstated by existing Rega pre-amp which has its own earth point and the hum has largely gone now - obviously, I have switched the YU6 to line input mode. The hum could be due to the equipment items being plugged into different mains power outlets, but it was fortunate I already had a pre-amp. Secondly, I couldn't get the sub-woofer to work from the outlet on the YU6 - just nothing. However, I used Y connectors on the RCA speaker inputs to the sub-woofer and now it's fine - together with the YU6 a really comprehensive soundscape from the upper limits of my hearing frequency down to the deepest base notes. I am also using the YU6 to listen to audio from my PC via Bluetooth, and that connected immediately and flawlessly and works fine.The YU6 remote control works well enough, although some of the buttons (eg for changing input source) are very tiny indeed. The combined input selector/volume knob on the YU6 speaker isn't that well implemented - you don't know which source you're connected to until you hear the sound from it, apart from BT when the blue indicator lamp comes on. I think they prioritised form over function - the single black knob looks cool, but some labels would be better!So, after one day, I am very happy - despite some niggles, these speakers sound great which is their main purpose. I'm not an expert or an audiophile, but I do like how these sound and they fit well into my room set-up as well.

Habe die Kanto YU6 als Verbesserung des TV-Sounds geholt. Hatte die beim primeday für 299 Euro bekommen, obwohl die kein prime-Angebot waren.Zu den Lautsprechern selbst.Kurz gesagt - jeden Cent wert.In Mattschwarz schlicht, elegant. Ohne Abdeckung. Die hätte ich eh' abgemacht.Material- und Verarbeitungsqualität sind aller erste Sahne. Selbst die Fernbedienung ist schwer und massiv, wie ein Stück Kantholz. Da klappert nix.+ Materialqualität+ Verarbeitungsqualität+ klang+ Fernbedienung- LEDs nicht beide aus einem Winkel zu sehen- persönliche Bass- und Höhen-Einstellung wird nur im Standby, aber nicht beim ausschalten gespeichert.Aufbau ist schnell erledigt. Der aktive Lautsprecher kommt nach links. Der rechte Lautsprecher ist passiv. Die Beiden werden klassisch mit einem mitgelieferten Lautsprecherkabel verbunden. Stecker rein - fertig.Den Fernseher habe ich mit einem optischen Kabel angeschlossen. Handy per Bluetooth (mit aptX) gekoppelt.Es gibt noch einen zweiten optischen Eingang, einen Anschluss für Miniklinke und einen für Stereo-Chinch.Man kann alles mit dem Dreh-/Drückknopf an der Vorderseite der aktiven Box durch drücken oder die Fernbedienung verwenden. An der Box wird der ausgewählte Eingang durch zwei LEDs angezeigt, von denen je nach Blickwinkel nur eine zu sehen ist.Die Fernbedienung ist die erste, die ich gerne benutze. Wackelfreie Tasten, die mit einem Klick auch haptisches Feedback liefern.Für jeden Eingangskanal gibt es eine Direktwahltaste. Ansonsten bleibt es übersichtlich. Lauter, leiser, stumm, Bässe, Höhen, Resettasten für Bässe und Höhen, Balance rechts, links, Mitte und für den Bluetoothbetrieb noch play/pause, vor und zurück.Der Klang der Boxen ist super. Schöne, knackige Bässe. Feine, klare Höhen. Die Boxen sind somit auch zum Musik (Rock, Pop, Klassik) hören sehr gut geeignet, solange man keinen Sub-Bass erwartet. Dafür reicht das Volumen der Boxen einfach nicht.Bässe und Höhen lassen sich in 7 Stufen einstellen, wobei die Bässe in der Grundeinstellung auf 5 und die Höhen auf 4 (Mitte) stehen. Leider werden die persönlichen Einstellungen nur im Standby beibehalten. Wenn man die Box mit dem Schalter auf der Rückseite ganz ausschaltet, startet die Box wieder mit der Standardeinstellung. Nur den letzten Eingangskanal merkt sich die Box.Die mögliche Lautstärke ist mehr als ausreichend, um Ärger mit den Nachbarn zu bekommen. Es sei denn, die haben den gleichen Musik-Geschmack. Dann kann man fast voll aufdrehen und auch die Nachbarn können verzerrungsfrei mit hören. Nur wenn man wirklich bis zum Anschlag aufdreht, überschlagen sich die Bässe leicht und die Höhen verzerren ein bisschen. Aber dann bluten einem eh' schon die Ohren.Wie bei allen Lautsprechern muss man mit dem Aufstellort und der Ausrichtung experimentieren, um das Potential der Boxen genießen zu können. Neigbare Ständer wirken Wunder. Die Kantos haben zusätzlich noch Gewinde an der Unterseite, um sie auf ein "Stativ" oder eine Wandhalterung zu schrauben.Ich kann die Boxen mit gutem Gewissen allen empfehlen, die keinen Bock oder keinen Platz für passive Boxen mit einem separaten Audioverstärker haben.Bei der gebotenen Qualität ist das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis spitzenmäßig.

Only just got them and I'm well impressed! Speakers do feel premium (and heavy, haha) and sound great! They're very easy to setup but you'll need a bit of space around you so you don't damage them while pulling them out the box.The remote is a bit big but I really like all the controls on it that let you handle just about anything: volume, mute, balance, bass, treble, input sources (another great asset for me as I have a few devices I listen to music on), BT pairing, track controls (prev, play/pause, next) for BT connected players. Sound adjustments are easy to reset using dedicated reset buttons, too.The built-in phono pre-amp doesn't feel as good so I'm using a dedicated box, which seems to be giving me fuller lows and highs. For now. I may give it another chance at some point.**UPDATE**Been using these speakers for over a week now, the sound improved much after burning them in. And I got used to the built-in phono pre-amp as well. It's a real space and cable mess saver!The one thing that did bother me though is that in the evenings when listening to my favourite music on low volume, there's a lot of noticeable white noise coming out the tweeter, which somewhat drowns the music itself. Especially if you push the treble to the maximum setting. Now I should point out that I've got the speakers on my desk and I sit not more than three feet away from them.I got in touch with the manufacturer and they told me that the white noise is normal and is generated mainly as a result of the built-in phono pre-amp and because they're active speakers with a tweeter capable of reproducing very high frequencies. They also said these speakers are not meant for 'near field' scenarios. And I have to agree with them as the white noise practically disappears when listening from further away around my room.
