Do not buy this, this is not an anvil, merely an AOS (anvil shaped object) a few light taps with a hammer resulted in significant dents to its surface. I think it’s possibly made of cast iron instead of steel with a hardened work face. Just a very heavy very expensive paper weight. Very disappointed, would send it back except shipping cost would be excessive from where I live. DON’T BUY THIS!

Do you see what I did there 😂Lettuce begin by saying I use this little gem a lot and for many things. I've mounted mine on a 12×6 oak block and it's the perfect height to work at while seated. I tried it on the work bench first but couldn't get comfortable with it.Very happy 😊 with this item and I would highly recommend it despite some of the other comments.
