I buy few of the all returnthe lights came on after about 5 minutes of operation, it was obviously overheating and significantly... there was no radiator to dissipate the heat, the LED was clearly worn out... the light was on, but unfortunately it wasn't worth it

There are a number of these 'RGB LED light with a lens to produce a circular display on a nearby wall' devices here. Most of them are rather more expensive, but have a stand and an infrared remote control - the stand has an IR receiver. This one just plugs into a USB A port and relies on an app. Both the micro manual and the back of the lamp itself have a QR code that takes you to the LED LAMP on the relevant app store.Installing it and you're told "No equipment, please pull down to refresh". Doing that fails to find the plugged in lamp. Repeatedly. Including turning off the USB port and turning it back on again. You can add devices manually... but which device is this one? All of them happily go 'OK, you've got an LED SUN (or whatever)' and then let you tap various buttons. Nothing happens, including when you press the power button that should turn this on and off. From comparing the various screens, it looks like this isn't an LED SUN (it will only try to do shades of white if that's selected) but what is it then?I've tried the various multi colour options and none of them connect.Either the app is useless - and so is the lamp - or there's a problem with the lamp itself. Either way, it doesn't work.Update: tried it again, this time testing the current from the USB port. Nothing = the lamp was dead on arrival.

I struggle to know what to write about this odd little light... it's basically a very short but heavy bendy stalk with a lens and LED on the end. You can only control it via a fairly unwieldy phone app (and the second time I tried to it simply didn't want to be found; I had to uninstall and then re-install the app), it's heavy so it needs to be in a hefty USB plug (there's nothing to keep it stable or pointing in the right direction if you just use a USB exension cable); it doesn't project very far (about three feet before it really doesn't show much except in a completely darkened room); I simply couldn't replicate any of the effects shown on the sales page; and under almost all lighting/colour combinations the brightest part is a vivid green ring running around the edge with the other colours getting lost...I can't think of any practical or decorative applications for this light, especially given the difficulty in powering and placing it securely - about the only place it would work is using up one of my PC case USB ports, and I've already got better things to do with those.I'm a gizmo geek and I've tried three times now to like this whatever-it-is, but I'm sorry, I simply don't.
