Worked better than expected. Very easy to use and would recommend for relatively small projects. I used mine to remove factory seasoning from a 14 inch Lodge cast iron pizza pan and also to smooth out the original rough surface. Started with 80 grit, then 240, 320 and lastly 600. Used two discs each. Powered with cordless drill, using light to moderate pressure. Surface kept mostly dry except when wiping away sanded residue I used a damp cloth. Drill attachment and velcro sponge pad worked flawlessly. Pan turned out smooth as glass (now reseasoned and good to go). Total time spent sanding was approximately 15mins.

I bought these 3" sanding discs to wet sand smaller areas on an aluminum boat with a 3" machine polisher and hand polisher. They do the job going from coarse to fine grits.
