This product is exactly what I wanted out of a laptop sleeve. The material is nice, the pockets are perfectly sized, and the case feels sturdy enough to me.Material: Let me start by saying that I do not know anything about types of material. If I was shown to things I wouldn't know which one was vinyl and which was velvet. what I do know is that this case feels nice. It says that it is a neoprene case and I would assume that is correct. What I know for sure is that it is a light, nice fabric that seems like it would not be prone to breaking or ripping.Storage: This case fits my Lenovo S10-3T perfectly. I keep the laptop in the big pocket along with any papers I need to carry to class, and the front pocket is big enough for a charger and mouse so I don't have to use the ridiculously small touchpad on my laptop.Reliability: I have been using this case for upwards of a year and I have yet to have any issues with breaking or ripping. The case seems to be holding up perfectly for me and a friend of mine who owns the same case. Neither one of us uses the shoulder strap so I can not attest to the reliability of that piece.Bottom line is that I bought this case and the day after I received it I had to order another one for a friend of mine because he loved mine so much. It is perfectly minimalistic. It holds the things that I need it to hold and nothing more. As far as I can tell I will never have to look for a laptop bag again, unless I buy a bigger laptop.

I had trouble trying to find a small carrying case with shoulder strap for my 11.6" notebook. None of the local stores had anything remotely close to what I was look for. Amazon to the rescue... I found this one on their site and decided to give it a shot. Well, I could not be more happy. Very light, looks great, seems to be durable (only time will tell), protects the notebook, room for a few misc. items like a note pad, pens, airline tickets, etc. If you have a 10 inch netbook, there are quite a few cases to pick from. If you have a 12" notebook, then your selection will be much smaller. If you give this one a try, I think you will be happy with the Kensington quality and price point... I know I am.
