Fantastic knife and I really wish Kershaw would make more D2 knives because it's such a fantastic steel. Excellent edge retention and I personally love the spear point. The only gripe I have with this is that the flipper is really small and it makes it really hard to deploy the knife, even with SpeedSafe. The reason for this is because the flipper is designed to hide into the handle perfectly. Aesthetics are awesome, but functionality should always be king. Loses a star for this reason.Other than that, this has been a wonderful knife and I love using it at every opportunity.

The open mechanism is harder to work than previous Kershaw knives I've purchased. It's gotten a little easier, or I've gotten used to it. I really like the smooth and well made feel of it and it's incredibly sharp.

Ok, so I will say first off that I read all the reviews on this product and I agree with most of them. However, with some better QC, this could be a great knife. It feels good and hefty in your hand and pocket, the carbon fiber insert and the titanium coating on the scales is just an excellent addition. The blade is D2, came with a nice edge on it, but not as sharp as I wanted. The Speedsafe A/O is snappy after some breaking in and feels good.It also has Kershaw's KVT bearing system which just makes it that much smoother. Now, onto the cons.It could be sharper, it came sharp, but not shaving sharp and I've bought cheaper D2 steel knives that come shaving sharp. Although, it is sharp in the wrong places. The spine has some sharp edges and so does the flipper tab (this seems to be the biggest issue with buyers and I agree). I had to take some 800, 1200 and 2000 grit diamond stones on a rotary tool to take down the flipper tab and make it as to where it doesn't hurt your fingers while opening it. I also did the same to the spine edges and any other sharp corner I could find (other than the edge itself). After this and some playing with the hinge screws, I absolute love this knife. In summary, if you don't want to spend some time tweaking a new knife, then this is definitely not the one for you.

I love that is tool D2 steel and this knife is sharp and looks great, only reason for 4 stars and not 5, it hurts my finger to deploy it. The lever on top is too short and too sharp it's unpleasant. Other than that knife is awesome.
