I’m the type of person who is always carrying around keys. I have always preferred to use a carabiner for this—and years ago, found one that has a bit of webbing with a ring on the end of it, allowing you to carry the keys around in your pocket. This was a good way to lug my rack of keys around, but it never was “ideal”My breaking point came whenever one day, the cheap carabiner broke open and I lost my keys. Luckily I found them soon after, but this incident, combined with years of fumbling over a cheap carabiner with small annoying rings to get individual keys out—I wanted change.I am a Nite Ize Carabiner enthusiast, so I wanted something from them, and was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this product. I attached it to a webbing key ring as described above, and combined with another Nite Ize Carabiner, I never have to worry about my keys falling off. It is great.I rarely have trouble with keys that don’t fit in the little slot—only problems arrose with thick car keys or other fobs. But for these, I just attach another ring and then slide them in. They don’t come out on their own, but if you want to remove it, it’s way easier than if you’re trying to remove it from a single ring with a bunch of other keys. Furthermore, you don’t destroy your nails like you do when using a keying for everything. The clips themselves are strong, and I have no worry about the “lock” coming loose— Nite Ize has always proven durable for me. They’ve taken abuse after abuse from me and barely are even scratched. They’re also tight when you need them to be; and easy to remove keys from when you want to do that, too. It really is the perfect key solution. It is refreshing to never have to worry about my keys falling off of a stretched out ring, and knowing that I can easily access keys when I want without having to tamper with a key ring is also great. This key ring is a must have if you don’t want to fumble around with a key ring and you value not losing your keys. Another great product from Nite Ize, that goes well with their entire lineup.TL:DR: Sturdy, secure, and durable. Holds plenty of keys, whether it be on a ring, individually, in pairs, or more. Goes great with a carabiner, and does what it advertises.

The main reason for this review is to show the 1/8" opening and that the hole side diameter is about the size of 550 Paracord. Each Microlink is 1" x .5" x (a hair bigger than) 1/16", see comparison photo against a Gen1 AirPod Pro. I'll be using the 4 carabiners individually, not on the keychain, to keep EDC things together either on a (thin) belt loop or inside of my pocket (like a hanging pocket clip) - but more secure since it has the firm gate.Gate Side:The gate feels stiff but not too aggressive where it can't be opened. But be warned that 1/8" opening is tiny, and there is no give to the opening so you can't spread it, or force things in that are bigger than 1/8". The give would need to be had on whatever is going in. I was able to get (force) 550 Paracord in the opening, but it was a challenge and wouldn't suggest it if the plan is to take things on/off quickly on that side. 425 Paracord would be the better choice for the gate side and easily fits.Hole Side:The hole side is pretty much exactly 550 Paracord in diameter and that can be seen in the photo with glow green 550 Paracord. It's not tight with the 550, the Microlink can still spin around. The last photo is with neon green micro Paracord is just for comparison. So far it's doing what I need it to and I appreciate the quality of this and all the products Nite Ize makes. (Not free and not paid for my review, that would be nice, but I paid 100% for this and all my reviews so 100% honest)
