Our house is getting on a bit and some of the plaster is starting to 'blow', i.e. separate from the wall, it's not enough to warrant having the entire wall re-plastered but some of the patches are quite big. Until I got this device I relied on a metal straight edge and a plastering trowel, used with either patching plaster or filler. This worked reasonably well, as long as I was wallpapering that wall.This skimming blade has made a great difference, I can now flatten off quite large areas of patching to something approaching a professional finish, it does take a bit of getting used to, but there are some useful videos that help. Once you have the technique right though it is a lot easier to get a flat and smooth finish, that could be painted.I have the 22" version of this device and it I think that it's a good compromise between size and convenience, a longer one would allow bigger areas to be patched, but would also be more cumbersome to use, and I'm not sure that I would want to patch anything bigger than this could handle. I wouldn't have the confidence to attempt to skim an entire wall, or re-plaster one, but for repairs this is a great help.I love its construction, it is comfortable and secure to hold and the fine blade really works well, the whole thing feels very sturdy and well made, even though it is quite light to handle. I am not sure if it is good value at £39.99 (at the time of writing) as I don't have anything to compare it to, but because it makes life so much easier I am leaving it as a five star rating

「結論買い」家中のクロス張りと漆喰の時用を探していました。55cmで使いやすかったです。「漆喰の場合」コテのようにムラ切り技術が必要（平らにする場合）でコテの大きさにより当てる回数も多くなりますが、これだと大分楽になります。が、本体が大きい分し難い場所も出てきますのでそれは要所で変更かなと思います。また、長い分力の分散を上手くしないとムラができるので慣れが必要だと思います。ステンレスとはいえ砂利などに当ててしまい傷が僅かに入るだけで溝ができるので扱い方や収納時の気をつける必要があります。うまくできてクロス張りも漆喰もとても時間短縮になりました。本体が軽く妻でもかんたんに扱えました＾＾

I purchased this Skimming Knife in the 22” (Blue) model for & Home remodeling a 1920’s Craftsman Bungalow (1000SqFt) that I will forever be working on till the day I die; that I initially demolished to only the studs. Of course all the drywall and n the home needed to be replaced with new. So I had to cut, hang, & finish more drywall than I would have liked. I know it may not seem like a big home but when it’s just you…., that’s a lot of drywall!Anyway, I bought this product about 3/4 of the way through the home remodel & I really wish I had known about this product years Day 1!It’s a great product & the price is right, the way it speeds up the process of leveling your walls is more than worth the price!It’s a no brainier, just buy it already, I know you’ll love it!
