when my original HP battery became defective (not fully charging) I decided to buy a replacement but was horrified that the cost of an original HP battery would cost over £70 so I did an amazon search and found the one I ended up purchasing for £26 (plus £4.99 postage) which was a vast saving. I paid an extra £1 (total £5.99) and had it delivered the next day.Battery is working fine so far though I've only had it for a month so time will tell. It's advertised as coming with a years guarantee so nothing to lose though I received no information leaflet with the product or written confirmation of the so say guarantee?The AH are higher than the original which means it should hold it's charge longer but I was concerned that the voltage is slightly higher than the HP original battery but as this is only 0.2 v higher it shouldn't be a problem.There are cheaper batteries to choose from on amazon but be wary what you buy as most don't mention any form of guarantee and often they have a lower AH (amp hour rating) which means they won't hold the charge as long, less battery life when not plugged in.
