After comparing these to both the JBL and Infinity Reference varieties I have to say, it was a tough call to my untrained ears. However, I called someone using the car, and swapping between all 3 speakers, I realized these were creating the least amount of super-high pitched, tinny noise (I placed them in the dash for full effect). Now, someone might want that if they want to hear very good cymbals or something, but since I do make a lot of phone calls, I didn't want super sharp or tinny highs. I do also have very good high-range hearing.Overall, to my ear and preferences, I do think these were *slightly* better, and I like they came with capacitors. For me, it wasn't a big deal the final tail just came tinned with nothing preinstalled, and it did come with the solderless crimp connectors, but for others, the convenience of having spade connectors preinstalled might be enough of a reason to go with another brand.

I had a set of 3.5in JBL's in the dash of my 2015 RAM which had the metal tweeter and they were way too harsh for my ears. No amount of tweaking or EQ, adding resistors or chokes, would remedy it, so I finally bought a set of these with the silk dome tweeters. I now have the sound I was looking for originally; great, silky smooth high-ends and overall great sound quality. I did use a 4in bass blocker on these and I have 6X9 Kickers all aound with a 10in LowPro sub behind the back seat. I'm currently using the factory HU, which sounds pretty good for a factory unit, but that's soon to be replaced with a Kenwood Excelon HU, which should sound even better.

They are great speakers 100% better then the garbage OEM ones installed on on 2020 Camry SE. The magnet is big and cone material is excellent vs the paper trash ones in stock. They were easy to install took 1/2 hour for Toyota make sure you buy the adaptor to avoid splicing wires and for ease of install. The sound is crystal clear after these were put in I’m happy .

I replaced my kicker DS series with these, the sound difference and quality is night and day. Connected the included tweeter filter along with a 600hz bass blocker and they sound amazing. It was a little more work in the wiring do to the way kicker has a three prong connector with this speaker

These fit my 2021 Ram with Alpine perfectly, however you need to be aware of a few things if you’re new to this scene:If you have the base audio system, your original dash speakers are 8 ohm, and these 4 ohm speakers will throw off the balance of your system. They will be louder.If you have the Alpine audio system, your original dash speakers are 2 ohm. These 4 ohm speakers will reduce your max volume significantly. When running the stock on one side and this Kicker KS on the other, it sounded like the Kicker wasn’t even connected. I knew this going in so I was not shocked. I plan to add a Kicker Key amp to power these because the factory amp is inadequate.So that’s the deal, the Kicker KS series are not really suitable as simple factory replacements. Nor are they sold as such. If you have the Alpine system and don’t want to add an amp, a 2-3 ohm speaker with higher sensitivity such as the JBL Club or Infinity Reference 3032 will play much louder on the stock kit. Unfortunately both of those speakers are brighter than the Kicker KS. I love the soft dome tweeters in these because they are very smooth and not fatiguing. Don’t get me wrong, these speakers sound great. They just need to be powered appropriately. Good luck!
